The Economic Partnership Agreement between the EU and Madagascar provides duty-free access for qualifying Malagasy imports. European goods exported to Madagascar can benefit from preferential tariff treatment if they meet APEi rules of origin requirements.
To qualify, goods must be produced or sufficiently processed in the EU or Madagascar according to APEi product-specific rules. A valid EUR.1 movement certificate or origin declaration must accompany the shipment. Without proper origin documentation, goods pay standard duty.
